Help give Sheriff a proper goodbye
Donation protected
This is Sheriff. He’s been a member of my family since I was 8 years old. Sheriff has recently been diagnosed with the early stages of Cushings. Cushing's disease results when the body produces too much of a hormone called cortisol. Cortisol is produced and stored by the adrenals, two small glands that sit on top of the kidneys. In Sheriff’s case, the tumor has been located in his head. The veterinarian said that he will only have about 6 months left to live. With vet expenses to help him go down easy, cremation, and the ability for each family member to receive a container of his ashes, it will be about $1,000. My family and I just want him to be able to be comfortable when the time comes in which Sheriff is no longer able to continue. He’s the most loving, protective, and loyal friend anyone could ask for. He is more than a dog or a pet, he is a member of our family. He is on medication to help slow down the progression of cushings, however the vet states that it can not be fully stopped. This is a hard time for my family and I, with everything going on in the world, losing our best friend is something I don’t want to accept. Anything is greatly appreciated in this heartbreaking time, thank you very much for reading this. I pray we are able to give Sheriff what he needs in the meantime before we have to say goodbye to our beloved friend.
